AGC Pharma Chemicals has once again obtained Top Employer certification, consolidating its position as the first and only CDMO in Spain to achieve this recognition, which endorses the company’s excellence in people management.
This new recognition places AGC Pharma Chemicals among the 135 best companies nationwide and within the select group of international Top Employers, demonstrating its commitment to a high-quality, inclusive, and professionally oriented work environment.
Top Employer certification is awarded after a thorough evaluation process that analyzes human resources policies and practices in key areas such as people strategy, talent development, leadership, corporate culture, diversity, and well-being. Nearly 200 of the company’s human resources initiatives were evaluated, with particular emphasis on those aimed at professional growth and talent retention.
Among the practices that have contributed to this recognition are a solid talent attraction and retention strategy, with a retention rate of 98.16%, higher than the industry average; the AGC Local Awards, an internal recognition program that promotes innovation, leadership, and team participation in strategic projects; and the Leadership School for Managers, with continuous training programs focused on the development of key skills.
The company also has an average length of service of 15 years, with 70% of the workforce having more than 10 years of experience, reflecting a high level of commitment and stability. In addition, more than 17,000 hours of training are provided annually to enhance the technical, professional, and leadership skills of employees.
Jun Kurihara, CEO of AGC Pharma Chemicals, said: “The Top Employer certification validates our commitment to people, who are at the heart of our strategy. Every achievement is possible thanks to the talent, dedication, and passion of our team. We will continue to invest in innovation and development to provide an environment where everyone can grow and contribute to building the future.”
Joan Vélez, Director of Human Resources, emphasized: “This recognition is not only a milestone for the Human Resources department, but also a reflection of the culture and work environment we have built as a team. Teamwork, innovation, motivation, and excellence are the pillars that define us. In recent years, we have welcomed new talented people and maintained high retention rates, demonstrating that AGC is a place where people want to stay and grow.”
With this certification, AGC Pharma Chemicals strengthens its position as a leading employer in the pharmaceutical sector and reaffirms its commitment to talent development, continuous improvement, and the creation of a work environment that promotes excellence and innovation.
